book&volume delivers orders to customers at the most economic prices possible. In most cases, the cost of delivery is determined by the carrier and we have no control over this. Delivery charges are based on the carrier’s standard rates and are not inflated. We do not pass on packing charges.
Orders sent within Australia are delivered by Australia Post. The maximum basic delivery to anywhere in Australia, regardless of weight, will rarely exceed $10.00. Express Post – next day delivery between most major centres – is also available and may involve slightly higher charges.
Orders sent internationally are, by default, sent via Australia Post airmail. If you require urgent delivery, we can arrange express international delivery and will quote costs and options at the time of your order.
book&volume will automatically dispatch all orders placed via our website at the flat rates quoted in the secure shopping cart, unless you request otherwise. book&volume will then quote you exact delivery costs before dispatching your order. This will permit you to change the mode of delivery, if you so wish, and will prevent any rude shocks when you receive a delivery. International delivery from Australia is never inexpensive.
Delivery times:
Delivery times within Australia. vary considerably. Standard Australia Post delivery should mean that most items are delivered within 5 working days. Next day delivery is possible with Express Post.
Overseas delivery times are affected by a variety of factors but most parcels should reach their destination within 7-10 days (airmail). Surface/sea mail is only available to some locations and is not advised. Note: all international deliveries are affected by local Customs restrictions and regulations, and airline security - may cause additional delays.
Insurance is available within Australia and to most countries with most methods of shipment. We recommend insurance for high-value items or to countries which have unreliable postal services.
