~ How to Order

Although book&volume is an 'internet bookstore' we do hold real stock. We are really a bookshop without the actual 'shop' bit. So you can phone, fax, email, post things to us, place orders via our secure shopping cart but you can't step over our threshold because, well, there isn't one.

There are a number of ways in which you can place an order with book&volume.

Internet/secure shopping orders: Find the book or books that you'd like, add them to the secure shopping cart, complete the necessary details, and submit your order to us. You'll see an order reference on screen after you've submitted your order but you will also receive an automated email acknowledgement. We will process your order promptly, and if there is a problem book&volume will send you an email telling you precisely the nature of the problem.

The book&volume shopping cart is secure and is protected by many cunning technological devices to prevent intrusion through the natural gates and alleys of our system, so you should feel comfortable about quoting your credit card details here. However, if you still prefer you phone or fax these details, you can do that instead.

Phone orders: You can call us on (03) 52 362 593 if you live in Australia, or (613) 52 362 593 if you are telephoning internationally. It's always best when placing a phone order to quote the stock ID associated with each item - this saves time and prevents mistakes. Some people also prefer to call to quote their credit card details, rather than using the internet. In addition, you can call us with general enquiries (we can always phone back if the answer to your question is complicated, or will take time).

Fax orders: You can fax us on (03) 52 362 030 if you live in Australia, or (613) 52 362 030 if you are faxing internationally. Quote the stock ID (IDs) you'd like, and we'll fax (phone or email) a precise quote. You can always fax us your credit card details if you prefer not to state them on the internet.

email orders: You can email us at info@bookandvolume.com.au and we'll email a precise quote. Remember to quote the relevant stock ID (IDs). We recommended that you don't email your credit card details, as this is not the most secure way of sending this kind of information. The chances that someone may intercept your details are not great but they do exist.

School, university, institutional orders:
If you are from a school, a university, government department or similar organisation within Australia, book&volume accepts official orders that quote order numbers. In most case, we will process and send your order without requiring prior payment - payment can be made within 21 days.

Educational establishments, regardless of their location, receive an automatic discount on most purchases.
