In ancient Egypt, Papyrus is a mischievous peasant boy who is crafty and courageous. Protected by a magic sword, he saves the princess Theti-Cheri, daughter of the Pharaoh Merenptha, whose protector and confidant he becomes. He is kept extremely busy protecting his friend from plots woven by the priests of Amon, or by cheating princes who try to make her disappear in this very precise reconstruction of old Egypt (the XIXth dynasty).
