The Daltons are out for vengeance!

A lawyer visits the Daltons in prison to explain that an uncle has bequeathed a fortune to them, but that they will only have access to it after shooting every member of the jury who sentenced him to hang - and that in front of a very specific witness: Lucky Luke. One prison escape later, the four brothers are riding hard with a list of men to kill - and a more or less captive Lucky Luke intent on making their task impossible ...

Key Points:

  • Lucky Luke is one of the most famous cartoon characters, alongside Asterix and Tintin
  • Bestselling European comic series ever, with more than 300 million copies sold worldwide in over 30 languages
  • Lucky Luke comics were made into several animated cartoons. In 1991 Terence Hill directed a cinema adaptation in which he played the lead role, and in 2009 James Huth directed a new version with French comic Jean Dujardin in the lead role
  • Suitable for adults and children
  • Published in English for the first time.

'... The enjoyment I get from each volume is a mix of that reassuring familiarity, the fun of seeing how many different twists and turns they (the authors) can put poor Luke through and the sheer superb craft they both display on every page, every panel'. [Richard Bruton, Forbidden Planet}

Born and raised in Belgium, Morris moved to the United States in 1946 for six years. There, he worked for MAD magazine and met René Goscinny, with whom he collaborated from 1955 until Goscinny’s death in 1977. Goscinny also created the Iznogoud series with illustrator Tabary published in English by Cinebook, and the hugely successful Asterix series with illustrator Uderzo. Greg was one of the most prolific writers and artists of Bandes Dessinées, creator, among many others, of famous character Achille Talon.
