Between the Daltons and a very stubborn groom, Luke has his work cut out for him making sure the wedding goes well!

Samuel Parker, ageing sheriff of Hadley City, is about to get married, and he’s promised his bride to retire after the ceremony. But Parker once sent the Daltons to jail, and when the horrible brothers hear the happy news, they escape with the intent of killing Samuel right in the middle of his wedding. Fortunately, Lucky Luke is an old friend of the sheriff’s, and he has been invited to the celebrations ...

'It does exactly what the very best child friendly books do; provide a charming and funny slapstick adventure for younger readers while giving a little bit of something for adults to have a knowing chuckle at ...' [James, MOMBsite]

Born and raised in Belgium, Morris moved to the United States in 1946 for six years. There, he worked for MAD magazine and met René Goscinny, with whom he collaborated from 1955 until Goscinny’s death in 1977. In 1992 the jury awarded him the Special 20th Anniversary Grand Prix at the International Angoulême Comic Festival. During his long career, he teamed up with some of the greatest names to create the adventures of Lucky Luke. Jean Léturgie co-created the character of Percevan before he began an enduring cooperation with Xavier Fauche that produced eight Lucky Luke titles, followed by the spin-off series Rantanplan (Rin Tin Can) and Kid Lucky. Fauche, a well-known figure in French radio, also wrote for the French version of Jim Henson’s show Fraggle Rock and co-created the cartoon Les Tifous.
