Kids who have read this have also eventually purchased the entire Shakespeare works, and have completed 'hero' reports on Shakespeare at school.

The Author: Brendan P. Kelso, known to kids as Professor Peculiar because of his unique and humorous personality, came to writing modified Shakespeare scripts when he was taking time off from work to be at home with his son. 'It just grew from there.' Within months, he was being asked to offer classes in various locations and acting organisations along the coast of California.
An engineer by profession, Brendan never thought about writing. But he has always said, 'There is no better way to learn than to have fun!'
'We had a wonderful time! The children impressed me and their families so much; I underestimated their ability to put it all together; they are really talented children. They were so dramatic and could remember where they were supposed to be, whose line it was, etc., better than I could. The style of the play was just right for them; it was freeing to know that you did not have to memorize things exactly.
'The only complaint I had from them was that the parts were too small. I had 13 children in the class, and I struggled to come up with enough stage time to satisfy everyone. After the first read-through, I filled in the parts with more lines from the original play. For example, I took Antony's well-known speech and shortened it to about half it's original length. I expanded the girl's parts, and one girl played a boy's part. I added in some sword play, which was immensely popular! In the end, the play lasted about a half hour, which was just right.
'One father said that he came prepared to suffer through Shakespeare at a middle school level and instead was absolutely delighted with the play.
'Thank you so much for your work; I went from a feeling of anxiety and pressure to a feeling of joy and success through the course of this class' [Catherine Rogers, teacher, North American school]
